Go to a Lexus blog right now—any Lexus blog—and tell me what you see right at the top of each and every one them right now.
Go ahead. I’ll wait.
Back? So, you read about the new Lexus GS 350, huh? You would’ve had to if you went anywhere near the Lexus section of the internet. It’s a beautiful vehicle that hopes to combine a stylish exterior, sporty handling, a spacious interior, and great new tech to give future drivers of luxury vehicles the best travel experience possible.
And looking at the thing, I think it’s pretty safe to say that buyers of the 2013 Lexus GS 350 are going to be pretty happy with their purchases.
“Today, buyers in the mid-size luxury segment want a more engaging driving experience, styling that makes a statement, and a roomier interior package,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “With the all-new GS, we’re giving them what they asked for, and more.”
The press release for the vehicle really pushes the driving experience as the focus for the car. Like a lot of newer automobiles are doing these days, the GS 350 offers three driving modes: Normal, ECO, which helps conserve fuel efficiency by tweaking some features in the car to save juice, and Sport S/S+, which messes with the powertrain and handling to create the most entertaining driving experience.
The technology in the car is top-notch as well (though the oldschool analog clock in the middle of the dash is pretty smooth in a retro sort of way). You’ve got Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio, automatic phonebook downloads, and all sorts of infotainment goodies. You can hook up an MP3 player, a smartphone, or even play DVD’s. There are options for SiriusXM radio and GPS, and a whole score of other technological perks that drivers in today’s generation can’t live without.
Warren Lexus GS dealerships can’t live without any of it, obviously, and if the buzz on the web comes anywhere near the eventual buzz for the product itself when it hits lots, the folks at Lexus are going to be very happy with their new car. Heck, I’m happy with it already.
